We have seen a lot of animals here,
but no bears! We really wanted to see
one. We went to a place where the ranger
thought we might see some in the morning.
They told us to pull over if we see a bunch of people pulled over with big
lenses. We saw that, pulled over and
happened upon a Ranger walk of Stormy Point.
We decided to join in. It was a
pretty hike around the lake area and we got to see about 20 marmots. They were so cute.
We continued our drive looking for
bears. NO BEARS!
We decided we were sick of driving everywhere
and went back to our campsite to do a nature bridge hike only to find out that
it was closed due to bears! What? This trail goes around our campsite….. About
half the loops are closed because of bears…
Oh well. We did see a wolf at our campsite
tonight. Katie was playing in the meadow
behind our tent and came up and said she was sleepy and not 10 minutes later
did a beautiful light grey wolf go strolling through where she had just
been. Lucky he was chasing something
else and not a Katie Bear!
